Principal
Christopher Spoerl started with PBM in 1997 and has specialized in providing accounting and tax solutions to health care professionals since 1990. His work with PBM focuses particularly on all areas of taxation, including personal, corporate, partnership, estate and trust. He also helps clients with their personal financial planning needs.
After graduating from DePauw University in 1981, Christopher served in the U.S. Army as a paratrooper, interrogator, and Soviet analyst. He later earned his MBA in finance and accounting from Indiana University, Bloomington, and his Master’s Degree in Taxation from Northern Illinois University. Prior to joining PBM, Chris gained a broad perspective of healthcare consulting by working in three other accounting and consulting firms, two in the Chicago area, and one in Seattle.
Chris is a Certified Public Accountant, a Certified Financial Planner, and is licensed by the IRS, state of Illinois, and the CFP Board of Standards to provide continuing education to Enrolled Agents, Certified Public Accountants, and Certified Financial Planners in the area of taxation.
